San Diego, CA—Thousands of librarians and library staff, authors, publishers, special guests, and exhibitors attended the ALA Conference and Exhibition, June 25 – July 1 in San Diego. Pathfinder Press volunteers staffed an attractive booth, introducing Pathfinder titles to many of the 13,000 participants. Hundreds of programs included ones such as “The Battle for the First Amendment: Why You Can’t Afford to Remain Neutral”; “Library Technology Industry”; “AI and the Future of Ideas”;” Digital Content and Libraries;” and “Supporting Public Libraries in Ukraine.”

Dozens of Pathfinder books were sold. The top sellers were The Fight Against Jew-Hatred and Pogroms in the Imperialist Epoch and Labor, Nature, and the Evolution of Humanity. Many librarians were attracted to Pathfinder’s Spanish-language titles to add to their library collections. Over a hundred signed up for Pathfinder’s mailing list.

The friendly response at the Pathfinder booth was illustrated by one man who held up The Fight Against Jew-Hatred and Pogroms in the Imperialist Epoch and asked, “Is this a book for or against the Jews?” When told it was a defense of Jews, he exclaimed “I want it!” and bought three other books as well.
