Hugo Blanco
Hugo Blanco (1934–2023), a principal organizer of the peasant movement in Peru, was sentenced to 25 years in prison in 1963 by the military government; freed in 1970 under pressure of a worldwide campaign. He is the author of Land or Death (1972).
