Rodolfo Saldaña (1932–2000) was a leader of the Bolivian Communist Youth and a member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Bolivia. From 1955 to 1958, he worked in the Siglo XX tin mine, Bolivia’s largest, where he helped recruit leaders of the mineworkers. Saldaña was a founding member of the National Liberation Army (ELN) of Bolivia, a 1966–67 revolutionary front led by Ernesto Che Guevara and Bolivian revolutionary Inti Peredo. Saldaña is the author of Fertile Ground: Che Guevara and Bolivia, A Firsthand Account (2001).
