Gustavo Chui (1938– ) – Brigadier general (retired) in Cuba's Revolutionary Armed Forces. Joined Rebel Army in 1958. Founding member of Communist Party of Cuba in 1965. Chui has served as head of 10th Directorate of the Revolutionary Armed Forces (FAR), the unit responsible for Cuba's internationalist military assistance; head of staff of FAR Special Command Post, assisting Fidel Castro and Raúl Castro in directing Cuba's mission in Angola; in Angola, deputy chief of staff of Cuban mission; and part of national leadership of Association of Combatants of the Cuban Revolution.
Since 2008 he has been president of the Chung Wah Casino Society, the umbrella organization of Chinese societies in Cuba.
Chui is a coauthor of Our History Is Still Being Written: The Story of Three Chinese-Cuban Generals in the Cuban Revolution (2005).
